HarveyWeinstein.com domain name sold for $695

Hugedomains had a “buy now” price on the domain name.

Someone just bought the domain name HarveyWeinstein.com

One of the top news stories over the past few days has been about film producer Harvey Weinstein. Weinstein, known for producing films such as Pulp Fiction, Good Will Hunting and Scream, has faced a number of allegations of sexual harassment and sexual assault.

During all of the uproar, someone noticed that HugeDomains.com had HarveyWeinstein.com for sale for a buy now price of $695. They scooped it up. (DomainTools has the asking price archived. Sometimes these numbers aren’t passed through correctly, but a couple archived screenshots of the site have a price near $695.)

The domain name now points to a coming soon page that says the site is undergoing maintenance and will be online shortly. It also includes the email address info@harveyweinstein.com.

Will someone develop the site to track the allegations against Weinstein? The potential of that is one more reason celebrities should lock up their .com domain name.
